Foreign registered vehicles is allowed to pump up to max 20 litres of petrol within 50km radius from Malaysia checkpoint.
Yesterday was a long weekend (After X'mas) holidays back to Singapore. The North South highway is choked with cars, especially after three lanes merge into two. Whenever there is heavy vehicle with some driving slow especially at night, soon you can imagine car started to crawl at 70-90km/h. The traffic was bad in the petrol station somewhere in Pagoh where everyone rush to pump in some petrol. Hurray to the petrol kiosk there. Car drivers however have to endure the long queue in the resting area leading to the Petronas.
What I did was detour to Macap toll --> Immediately after the toll, turn left and head towards the JB trunk road. After travelling another 10km+, there are ample of petrol kiosks for refilling. Petronas on the left, Shell and caltax 250m on the right. And another 500m, one should see Mobile on the left. Thereafter, travel few more km and join back the highway.
Still the highway traffic is terrible. Caught in causeway jam for an hour and half before arriving home past midnight.
